Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the CLEFALON platform (“Platform”), including all content, features, tools, workflows, and services offered by CLEFALON. By creating an account, posting a question, applying as an advisor, or otherwise using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Platform Use

CLEFALON is a private, trade-only network that connects locksmith seekers with vetted advisors. You may use the Platform only for its intended purpose and in compliance with all applicable laws.

2. Restrictions on Copying and Competition

You may not, directly or indirectly, for yourself or on behalf of any third party:

  • Copy, reproduce, distribute, publicly display, or create derivative works of the Platform or any part of its design, code, content, branding, or business model;
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, disassemble, decode, or otherwise attempt to derive the source code, algorithms, architecture, or trade secrets of the Platform;
  • Use any data, methods, workflows, user interactions, or proprietary information obtained through the Platform to build, operate, promote, or invest in a competing product, service, platform, or business;
  • Solicit, recruit, or divert Platform users, advisors, or seekers to an outside service that replicates or competes with the Platform;
  • Circumvent any access controls, fees, vetting requirements, or security measures of the Platform.

These restrictions apply equally to seekers, advisors, applicants, and any other person or entity with access to the Platform.

3. Intellectual Property

All rights, title, and interest in and to the Platform, including its trademarks, logos, code, databases, processes, and content, are owned by CLEFALON or its licensors. Nothing in these Terms grants you any license to use our intellectual property except as necessary to access the Platform in accordance with these Terms.

4. Accounts and Conduct

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You may not impersonate others, submit false information, harass users, or use the Platform for unlawful purposes.

5. Fees and Payments

When paid consultations open, a Seeker pays the consultation price quoted by the Advisor. CLEFALON's platform share — currently 20% — is taken out of that quoted price, leaving 80% for the Advisor. There is no extra Seeker surcharge, service fee, subscription, or application fee. Payment is only ever due after a Seeker accepts an offer.

Card payments are not open on the Platform today; checkout runs only in a test mode that never charges a real card. No charge, subscription, application fee, or payout is taken or made at present, and nothing on the Platform should be read as a statement that a payment or payout is pending. Fees, once charged, are non-refundable except as required by law or at our sole discretion.

6. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account, with or without notice, for any violation of these Terms, including any attempt to copy, reverse-engineer, or compete with the Platform. Upon termination, your right to use the Platform immediately ceases.

7. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

The Platform is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, CLEFALON is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to your use of the Platform.

8. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Cook County, Illinois.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
